Christmas Day at Honey and Pappa's

Every year we go to my parents house on Christmas day after we've enjoyed santa at home. We had a great time as always this year. I know it seems like all my pictures are just of the boys opening gifts but that's what I enjoy. They are at such a fun age. This time I got a couple of Jake showing his true colors...throwing fits. You can see it in his face...it cracks me up! My dad also dressed him up in an old jacket with a nod to Mt Lebanon on it. They are just alike...2 peas in a pod! Enjoy the pics

Christmas Morning 2011

Christmas Morning the boys woke up right at 7am. They did not give us any time to prepare this year....they immediately ran out into the living room to see what Santa had brought. It was so fun. Jax gets so excited and in turn, so does Jake. They got plenty of toys to fill all the spaces that were empty from me cleaning toys out the week before. The big gift this year was a trampoline. Jax wanted one so bad he even mentioned it to santa when he sat on his lap. They boys play on it every day and I am so glad we got it! Enjoy our pictures.

Christmas Eve 2011

Every year for Christmas Eve we travel to Grandma Jackson's house. We eat dinner, open gifts and enjoy family time with Jeremy's dad's side of the family. We had a great time this year and especially since Aunt Amy was in town as well. We missed Aunt Katy but the boys enjoyed the gifts she sent ahead of time from Guam.

The boys got tons of toys. Jax is really into "Cars" right now and got a lot of things to keep him busy. Jake got some fun toys too. Jana's boys - Steven and David - got Jake a set of balls. Jake took a bite out of one as soon as he got them. Aunt Amy also helped the boys add different body parts to themselves with the balls as the evening went on...it was pretty funny.

We had a good dinner provided by Grandma Jackson and plenty of snacks. Jake couldn't get enough...as usual. The boys always love going to Grandma's house. Can't imagine what it will be like next year with 3...what fun! Enjoy the pictures

Let the Christmas Fun Begin

We started putting up Christmas decorations as soon as we got home from Thanksgiving. Jeremy does this every year. He decided to let Jax put up the star this year....so cute.

We've already watched the Christmas Story about a dozen times and the boys are already addicted like Jeremy...(the one about the boy getting the bb gun...you'll shoot your eye out)

With our weekend of bad weather I decided to let the boys decorate some Christmas cookies. They both enjoyed this. Jax decorated, Jake ate...as usual. I've included some pictures of their decorations. Hope you like them.

Halloween 2011

Jax was the lone tin man on Halloween this year. Jake had a fever all day that day of 102.5 so he got to stay home with Honey while Jeremy and I took Jax to my sister's house for some trick or treating with the cousins and a few other people. Grumpa met up with us as well and joined us on our trick or treat walk for a while. Jax got lots of candy and everyone thought his costume was great. After trick or treating, we went over to Gigi and Mike's house for a little more. Jax had a great time and even snuck in a few "trick or treat, smell my feet" that he said he learned from his cousins...nice!

Halloween Parade and Carnival

Let the festivities begin...The boys had a halloween parade at mothers day out and I was able to get a few pictures from that. Jake was not feeling his lion face that day so I didn't make him wear it. Jax was in full costume and loving every minute

Saturday before Halloween, Deann and her family met up with mine in Mansfield at a Halloween Carnival. There were bounce houses, pony rides, hay rides, carnival games, car smashing and some yummy food. We had a fun evening even though it was a bit cold. I got a lot of pictures of all the cousins together. There was one church that had a booth with a lot of dancing going on...we stayed there and enjoyed that for a while. Connor ate half my funnel cake and fed Jake a few bites too. Jax never wanted to leave the bounce houses but we finally pulled him out. They crashed on the way home! What a fun evening!

Pumpkin Time at the Arboretum

Every year since Jax and Cooper were born, Wanissa and I have met up at the Arboretum to have some pumpkin fun with the kids this time of year. There is a hay maze, petting zoo, pumkin houses and plenty of other places for them to run and play. This year wore me out a bit more because of Jake. He was all over the place but had a great time. By the end of the morning, I had 2 tired boys. We wore them out good. We tried to get a picture of Jax and Cooper as we were leaving and boy was that a bad idea...they were both screaming and not cooperating...it was pretty funny. Enjoy the pictures!

Cedar Hill Football

Jax finally got to go to a home game for Cedar Hill. Jeremy helps out in the booth for the varsity games so we finally went to one - Cedar Hill vs Midlothian. Cedar Hill killed Midlothian so it wasn't much of a game but Jax enjoyed the field after the game was over. Cedar Hill does the school song and then the longhorn stampede where the kids get to run down the field after the game. Jax enjoyed it very much. Some of Jeremy's football players ran with him and tried to teach him the school song. He had a great time. He was the last one of the field...literally. They were cleaning up and we bribed him with cookies to get him to leave. We had a great night. I don't think Jeremy will ever forget it!

We also had western day at mother's day out this week. Had to include a picture of that as well...here ya go!

State Fair of Texas 2011

Another year at the fair - we had a great time as always. Well, Jake might have screamed a few times because he didn't want to be in the stroller but what's new! When we got there we went and looked at the police horses and then enjoyed a dog show. Jake sat completely still and even clapped. I was shocked. After that, we got the boys an ice cream and saw the marine corp band. After that we went and saw Big Tex (Jax calls him "Big Woody" from toy story) We then got the boys some cotton candy and looked at the rides. Jax had no interest in riding anything! We walked around some more and finished our afternoon with a corny dog, french fries and lemonade. On our way out, we took the boys to the petting zoo. Jax got to feed a few animals - they loved it! Jake didn't make it home. That's how I know I did my job...I wore him out! Enjoy our pictures.

Homecoming Parade and Game

Every year, we meet DeAnn and her boys for Midlothian's homecoming parade. This year, we stepped it up a little and added the game. I left Jake at home with my parents and Jax and I met up with my sister and her family as well as Gigi, Mike and Sam (mike's son). We had a great time.

I've included a lot of pictures. The first set is of the parade. Jake loved the band and even asked Preston "Where'd they go" after they walked by (its the picture with his hands out) Jax waved at every float that went by. He loves the mascott - the panther! They loved the parade. Enjoy the pictures.

After the parade, we went home and rested. I took Jax to the game that night. Unfortunately, in grand Midlothian tradition...we lost the game but we had a fun time. Jax kept asking for the Cat (aka the panther) and he enjoyed most of the game with a little play time on Gigi's cell phone with angry birds. We had a lot of fun!

Fall Decor Time

Every year, I pull out my fall decor for the front yard. I keep it in a few bins in our garage. I always try to take a picture and this year was no exception. The boys were not having it. It was right before nap time and no one was cooperating. After I came back in the house from putting everything out, the boys were more exciting about one of the baskets that I keep everything in more than they were about the scarecrows. I've included a couple of pictures.

I also took a picture of Jake the other day. He was roaming the house with this hat on after he had woken up from a nap. He was being so funny about the hat. Doesn't he look so big in this picture. They grow up so fast!

Dallas Zoo and Around the House

We've had a busy week and have done some fun things. Jeremy is in full swing with football and has been gone a lot unfortunately. When he is home, Jax wants to be wherever he is. I got a cute photo of Jax helping Jeremy fix a door hinge on the playground this week. At one point, Jeremy walked away and Jake came out to help. I think I even heard the drill come on at one point!

I also took a photo at the new Toys R Us in Cedar Hill. They had appearances with Geoffrey the Giraffe. We walked in the door and immediately ran into my sister with Preston and Grant so they all smiled for a pic....of course Jax wasn't too fond of the Giraffe up close!

We also went to the Dallas Zoo today with Wanissa and her kids. They weather was nice and we had a great time. Jax got another hat and we saw all kinds of animals. Jake enjoyed it more because he can actually walk around. Although he was not happy with me when I put him back in the stroller! We ended our visit with some lunch and play time at the water area. It's Definitely a Park Day!

What a great day today! Today is the first day we've seen temperatures under 90 in a long time and we took advantage of it! I needed to go into Mansfield to my salon for a few minutes and I had remembered seeing a nice little park around the corner at one time. We headed over there and boy...little...no way. The park is awesome! It has 2 playgrounds - big and little kids. It has sand volleyball park, covered eating area, walking trails and an amphitheater with built in stone seating. I was so excited and the boys loved it.

The boys could swing, play on the playground, we walked the trails - where Jax found a giant stick...he was so excited. Jake just loved to walk everywhere I'd let him....he was not happy when we left! What a wonderful day. Enjoy our pictures!

First Day of School

Today was the first day of Mother's Day Out for both boys. Jax did this last year so he is a pro but I was a little worried about Jake!

We started our morning with an earlier wake up time than usual but they did great once they got some breakfast. We took a few pictures then off to school we went.

I dropped Jax off first and he told me "See you later Mom"...such a big boy!
I then took Jake to his room. I thought he was going to scream and cry like he does when we go to Sunday school...he didn't. He got right out of his stroller on his own and went and played with the toys. I was shocked!

I picked the boys up at 2 with my sister in tow...and thank God! I got Jake first - he's definitely going to have to adjust to a new schedule and different sleeping place and time. Then we went to get Jax. He had just woken up from his nap and had pooped in his pull up...he never does that! I had to basically hose him down in the bathroom with Jake screaming and poop everywhere...what a way to end the day.
They both had a good day other than that. Hopefully Thursday will go a little smoother!

Potty Trained!!!

That's right - Jax is potty trained! We really wanted to get it done in June and we did. He took right to it and we've really not had any issues with him. He tells me when he needs to go and even stays dry at night. Sometimes he can be a little lazy after nap time but we'll get there.

We promised him a trip to Chuck E Cheese when he used the potty all the time so we took him in July. Here are some pictures. Jeremy thinks we have a basketball star in our future...we'll keep you posted on that one.

I have not been so timely about my blog lately! It has been a busy month and I'm finally getting a minute to add some pictures. I had the boys pictures taken by a client of mine and she did a wonderful job! Jake was actually just walking at 15 months and Jax is now 3. We went to a ladies backyard in Waxahachie to have these made. I already have a few up but wanted to put some more on my blog....enjoy!

And We're Walking!!

That's right...Jake is finally walking. It only took him 15 months! He is so cute to watch and such a big boy. He weighs 28 lbs and is in the 95th percentile for weight and 65th for height at 31 inches. He is starting to talk a little bit and throws great kisses, waves, claps and has tons of teeth that all came in at once. He is a very happy child and full of energy!

The Red Hat

I've just taken some funny pictures of the boys lately and had to share. Jax got this red hat for his birthday and both of the boys wear it all the time.

We were playing outside one day and I realized all Jax had on was the red hat and his toy story underwear...so funny. I had to take a picture.

I also got some upclose pictures of Jake wearing it too.

The last pictures are of Jax playing the drums on his daddy's barbecue wood. The child can make a drum out of anything! Enjoy

Fourth of July Weekend

We had a great Fourth of July weekend. We started off on Friday before the fourth with a family event in Mansfield with my parents (Honey and Pappa) We've never been before but what an event! It was at a ballpark in Mansfield - they had bounce houses and face painting, snowcones, bands playing and ended with fireworks. Jax ofcourse loved the bounce houses. He played in just about all of them and went down most of the slides. He climbed the highest one there was and kind of freaked out so I ran up it to go down with him and it was scary even for me. It was a drop and we ended on the grass it was so fast. I even got a grass burn on my rear. It was pretty comical! We ended with some great fireworks.

On Sunday, we met up with Kelly and Chad Chambers and their son Cooper who is 2. We ate at our house and then went to the fireworks in Midlothian. It was a nice night and the boys enjoyed playing. We had a great weekend with some great company and family! Enjoy the pictures!

Father's Day 2011

We had a great father's day this year. Jeremy and I had just gotten back from our cruise so we took it easy that morning. We met Jeremy's dad and Jana for lunch at one of our favorite spots - Hunky's in Oak Cliff. After lunch we came home for a great nap. After that, we went to my parents house for swimming and dinner with the family. We had a nice relaxing day and are so thankful for all of our fathers!

Bahamas Cruise Vacation

Jeremy and I just got back from a Royal Caribbean Cruise to the Bahamas...by ourselves!! We had a great time but missed the boys of course. We were on the Monarch of the Seas for 4 nights and 5 days. It docked out of Port Canaveral in Florida and then went to the private island of Coco Cay and Nassau Bahamas. We enjoyed some great food, 4 nights of complete sleep, a lot of sun and met a few new people along the way. In Nassau we went to the Atlantis resort for the day and enjoyed the beach, a few aquariums, some shopping off the resort and wondered around a lot. It was pretty cool. The last day at sea, I took some pictures of the belly flop contest, the kitchen staff doing a presentation on the pool deck and of course a few pictures of Jeremy and I along the way. Dallas Zoo Day

We braved the hot hot weather today and went to the Dallas Zoo with Wanissa, Cooper and Ryleigh. We got there when it opened at 9am and it was already hot. We went and saw the gorillas, giraffes, elephants and a few other animals then we took the kids to the kids zoo with the water and play area...much cooler!! We had a great morning. My kids are still sleeping as I write this. The only bad thing that happened was that I got stung by a bee on our way out...it hurt but I'll live. Enjoy our pictures. The boys got to feed the giraffes. The Dallas Zoo has definitely stepped it up!

Jax turns 3

Jax turned 3 on May 27th - It was a Friday. We went to a park and then had lunch. We finished our evening by getting ready for his party out at the camp. On Saturday, we had an evening party at Mt. Lebanon. We had a bounce house for all the kids and the pool and slide were open. Jeremy made barbecue and hot dogs. We enjoyed our family and a few friends and had a great evening. Jax opened gifts and enjoyed his Wizard of Oz themed party....he loves that movie at the moment. I think he could have stayed in his bounce house forever. We had a great time. Enjoy the pictures

A Day with Friends

We had a great day on Friday! Friday morning, the kids and I got together with Wanissa and her 2 kids and went to the fountains and play area in uptown village in Cedar Hill. They had so much fun. We followed it up with a little lunch at chick-fil-a. The boys took a great nap to say the least!

Friday evening we took the boys over to Grumpa and Grammy's house and went out with Wanissa and Trey for a little adult time. We headed over to the West Village and ate at Mi Cocina and then went to The Lune for a drink. We had a great evening. Here are a few pics.

Dallas Aquarium

Today the boys and I met up with my long time friend, Wanissa, and her 2 kids at the Dallas Aquarium. We had so much fun. I now understand why it cost an adult $22 to get in...it is awesome to say the least! The kids had a great time looking at all the animals. We got some great pictures of them. After we left there, we went and had lunch down the street at Chick-fil-a so they could play more. Jax loves playing with Cooper and Jake began tormenting Ryleigh a bit...they are all so cute! Water Fountain

Ok so for most little boys...this adventure would be no big deal. In our family, this is huge for Jax. He is my cautious child. We went to the fountains in Cedar Hill a couple of days ago. We've done this before but he won't ever get in and play. He runs around and says "NO". I don't know what came over him but he finally did it. Jake would have loved to have joined in but he's got a cold so we will wait till he's walking. What a great day we had...and it was free...got to love that. Enjoy Jax's pictures.

Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day this year. We took it pretty easy, which was nice. We went to Chuy's Saturday night for dinner and then woke up Sunday and went to Home Depot....no we didn't go to church but we kind of needed a day off. We bought flowers for the yard and enjoyed a day at home with our new playground. I went and got a pedicure and the boys gave me a massage and a new vera bradley bag!! It was a relaxing day. We ended it with my parents coming over for dinner and playing outside with the boys some more. Here are a few pictures!

Side note - we had a storm blow over the playground while we were building it so the roof is being worked on due to some damage. It will be up soon!

Easter 2011

We started off the morning with a visit from the Easter Bunny. Jax and Jake got a new fish, which Jax named Jessie. They both got some good candy and enjoyed their morning on a sugar high. We went to church at FB Dallas and then headed to my grandmother's house for lunch and an egg hunt with the cousins. They had a great time....but no nap...yikes! We finished off our afternoon with a trip to Grumpa and Grammy's house. The boys enjoyed playing outside and some cute Easter baskets made especially for them. We all had a great Easter with our families and look forward to many more! Enjoy the pictures.

Jake turns 1

Has it already been a year...oh yes it has!! Jake Ryan Jackson turned 1 on April 9, 2011. To date he weighs 26.1 lbs and is in the 89 %. He is 31.5 in tall and is in the 92 %. He is a big boy like his brother! He is crawling and pulling up on everything. He will stand up on his own here and there but not trying to walk quite yet. He says mama, dada, uh oh, ball, ight for light and mum mum for his favorite snack from walmart. He's already pulling toys away from Jax and has quite the scream. He is a very happy little boy and smiles on que for the camera with his 7 teeth and one coming in.

We had a great family birthday party for him at our house. Jeremy made some really good barbecue sandwiches that he tried in Arizona - brisket, potato and cheese. Jake had a great birthday cake and we did a little Easter egg hunt for all the boys. He opened a few gifts and enjoyed the family. It was a great time! I've included plenty of pictures. Enjoy!

Here are a few pictures that I keep meaning to share. Jax and Jake got invited to a birthday party at a bouncehouse place in the mall so I took a couple of pictures. Jax had crazy day at mother's day out and I had to take a pic of that. Lastly, I know they will kill me later when they see this picture but I was getting them ready for a bath and they both decided to get away from me and go play with the train table....had to get a pic :) Enjoy!

Arizona Spring Break Trip 2011

We just got back from Phoenix Arizona. All four of us went to visit Jeremy's older sister, Amy, in Arizona. We had a great trip and the boys had a blast. They both did great on the plane and enjoyed every minute in Arizona....especially Jax!

After getting to Phoenix, Aunt Amy had plenty planned for our visit. We started off eating at a great pub and then taking it easy at home for the evening. The next day we visited a train park with a carousel and plenty of play area for Jax. Jax hates carousels but Amy took Jake...which was pretty comical. Jax loved the playground and the train ride.

We also went to visit Sedona one day. I got some drive by pictures of Arizona and a few of Sedona's red rock. It was a view you truly have to see in person. We enjoyed some shopping and telling Jax to constantly look at the rocks instead of woody in the car.

Jeremy and I got to get out one night and go eat sushi at a really cool sushi bar. We did a little shopping and walking around Old Town. We also found another little park area that had some cool places for pictures. We had a great time with Aunt Amy and Uncle Paul. Arizona is beautiful and the weather was perfect while we were there. We couldn't have asked for a better spring break!

FINALLY Crawling!!

That's right...Jake is finally crawling. It only took 10 months and 3 weeks to get there. As many of you know, Jake has been wearing a helmet to shape his head better. We took it off this past week and a day later, he was crawling. He had started pulling on it and almost pulling it off. He wasn't sleeping well and we are pleased at how it has worked so, we are done! I really think it was hindering his crawling as well. Anyways, he's making up for lost times. He's pulled books off of shelves, discovered all of the door stoppers just like Jax did and even tried taking my wallflowers out of the plugs. He does not like the word NO!! It's been fun - he entertains himself quite well! I took a few pictures of him crawling towards a snack, playing with Jax and getting caught playing with a door stopper.

Jax had crazy hair day at mother's day out last week and of course we had to participate. It was a lot of fun spray painting his head. He loved it. Enjoy the pictures.

Fun at the Park

I finally got to take the boys to the park the other day when it was warmer. Of course when we were there it got cold and Jake and I woke up the next morning with horrible colds...oh well...small price to pay for some fun!

Jake loved swinging and Jax just loves everything about the park these days. I also took a picture of the boys before we left. Its the first time I've gotten shoes on Jake that fit...I was excited. He is not standing..he's just propped up. Enjoy the pictures

Valentines Day 2011

What a great weekend/monday! I dressed us all in our Valentine colors for church on Sunday and even got a picture with the boys for once! Monday morning Jax woke up to a new Buzz doll, chocolate candies and his favorite breakfast...honeybun and bannanas. He was speechless when he saw it all. It was pretty cute. Jake missed out this year because he doesn't need any of that junk quite yet so he just got a big kiss from mom.

I got the boys dressed in their valentine shirts and we went to visit my grandmother with Aunt D. We had a great time seeing her and Jax loved playing outside in the great weather. We had a great day overall. Enjoy the pictures.

I'm finally getting around to updating my blog. Wanted to share some pictures from that crazy snow week we had. The boys loved it because Jeremy and I were home so much. Jax was confused when we went back to work the next week. He thought us being home was a permanent thing....I wish!

We had fun with the boys in the snow. Jake even got in on the action. We built a snowman and Jake ate some snow...yikes! They played a lot inside and when got a lot of cleaning done. Everyone's closest look great now!

Monster Truck Show

We went out to Mt Lebanon today - on Martin Luther King Day. There were some groups out at the camp this weekend and they were having a monster truck show. We thought that Jax might enjoy it but as usual he just said "I scared" he's so funny. He still enjoyed the show when it finally got going. Jeremy's dad joined us for the event. We got some funny pictures of the boys in the tires and with Grumpa. Jax is enjoying an apple as well. He loves eating apples out at the camp for some odd reason. We have started the new year off with a bang and want to share. Not really but I do have some fun pictures to share. I included a couple of the snow we've already had, a picture of Jeremy playing with Jax's toys, a few of Jake cleaning out the klenex box and one of Jake in his new helmet.....yes, we have started all that. He's had it on for a couple of weeks now and it could last for a few months. He's not doing too bad. His head is just not as round as we'd like it to be so we hope this will correct it with time. This picture was taken the first day he got it...I've decorated it since then so it looks better. Enjoy the pics!

After we get up and get going on Christmas Day, we usually go to Honey and Pappa's house for the day. We changed it up a little this year - we still went to Honey and Pappa's house but then went on to Gigi and Mike's house for dinner.

The boys got lots of great gifts and enjoyed hanging out with their cousins as well. I've included more pictures of the days events below. Enjoy. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Christmas Morning 2010

We let Jax sleep in our bed Christmas Eve and Jake has never left our room so we started our morning around 7am. I woke Jax up....he still doesn't completely get it and is currently scared of everything "I scared" are the exact words we here very often. So Santa is still not his favorite. Once he realized there were toys involved, he was very excited "oh boy"

Jax got a train table, some toy story stuff, thomas the train stuff, clothes, big boy underwear and some candy in his stocking. He is still enjoying his toys....and occasionally as you will see in the picture, Jake's toys too.

Jake got a lot of v-tech stuff that he is truly enjoying. He's also in the middle of learning to crawl. He is doing great and is such a happy child!

Christmas Eve 2010

Every year, we go to Grandma Jackson's for Christmas Eve dinner and presents with Jeremy's dad's side of the family. I realized that I was a bit partial in my picture taking this year and I apologize to all our families.....it seems that I only took pictures of my boys....but darn they are cute - you can't blame me :) We are so thankful for all of our families and enjoy them all. We had a great time at Grandma Jackson's this year as always and the boys racked up with the gifts. Here are a few pictures! On a side note, this is the beginning of our terrible 2/3's. Jax doesn't like having his picture taken so you will see few smiles but I promise he is a happy child and loves his new toys! Thankfully, my other child likes the camera at the moment and also enjoyed the tissue paper and stuffed animals.

Christmas Trains 2010

Every year, Jeremy and I like to go to the Galleria before Christmas. This year we tried Northpark and then went to the Galleria when we were disappointed in the northpark santa. We did stay at Northpark long enough to go through the train exhibit. Jax is really into trains this year. We enjoyed the exhibit and got a few pictures at Northpark and the Galleria. The boys saw Santa at the Galleria and did ok. Jax isn't fond of Santa so we tried prepping him before he got to him. He walked right up to him and said "Santa - thomas the train stuff" as Santa reached down to pick him up he began crying but got his picture made with his brother anyways. After I took this first pictures, I realized that I am truly outnumbered.....Its ok though because without me, none of them would be sleeping this peacefully :) I thought this was so cute so I had to show everyone.

Sorry I haven't been so great about posting lately. Its been very busy in my house. Jake has had 3 ear infections in a row, Jeremy's truck was messed with and we are also looking into whether or not Jake needs to wear a helmet for a few months because his head isn't as round as it should be. We are holding it together and getting through day by day with many doctor appointments. So here are a couple of pictures of the boys lately. Enjoy and keep us in your prayers.

Getting ready for Christmas

As usual, Jeremy likes to get everything out for Christmas as soon as Thanksgiving is over. So here we are again....love this time of year! I think Jax has already watched Polar Express about a dozen times. Jake enjoys the music and lights and Jax is right in the middle of all the fun as well. Thought I would let ya'll in on what's been going on with us this week. First week of December...usually people are getting ready for Christmas. We on the other hand are dealing wtih insurance and discount tire and having only one car....fun week.

Jeremy woke up Monday morning and discovered his truck on blocks in our driveway. Someone came up into our driveway in the middle of the night and took his tires and wheels and....well, everything. Thank Goodness our insurance covered it but its been a pain to deal with. One car for a family of 4 does not work. We should have our replacements by Monday but until then....fun for us.

Here are a few random pictures from the last few weeks. Now that Jake is sitting up and playing more, Jax is really playing with him. Its so cute to see them together and being sweet....so far!

Jake is now taking baths with Jax....so much easier and fun. Another picture shows Jax with Jake in his bed. For some odd reason, Jax likes to get in the bed with Jake and play. I also put a picture of Jax in here on one of his dress up days at mother's day out - it was farmer day. The other picture is of Jake and me. He's a major mama's boy. He's already saying ma ma ma and he knows when to use it correctly. Gotta love it.

Halloween 2010

We had a great halloween this year. As usual, we went over to my sister's house to trick or treat with her boys. Jax was Woody and Jake was Buz from Toy Story. This was Jax's first year to truly get halloween and the whole trick or treating thing. Jeremy even took the video camera along. Pumpkins at the Arboretum

For the last 3 years, we have gone to the Arboretum with Wanissa and Cooper in October. This year, we add Ryleigh and Jake. The boys had so much fun playing with the pumpkins, petting animals and running around the gardens. We got some great pictures of them before we had to leave early due to Jake getting an allergic reaction to amoxicillan....gotta love it. Everyone is healthy now and doing great. Enjoy the pictures!

State Fair 2010

Another year at the state fair - Jax really enjoyed it this year because we totally catered to him. We went to the children's aquarium and the butterfly exhibit. We ate some food and Jeremy won Jax a scooby doo doll from throwing darts. We had a great time and wore both boys out by lunch time. Another year older but what can ya do. I had a great birthday this year! Jeremy began my morning with a new Vera Bradley purse that I was wanting and some bath and body works foot stuff and a new workout shirt. I finally get to start working out again this month after my last hernia surgery. Anyways, I went shopping with my mom and sister and then to Fogo de Chao with Jeremy, DeAnn and Doug. We had a great dinner as always. The following day, we took the boys to the fair. What a great weekend!

Jake also had a milestone on my birthday. He turned 6 months. He's starting to sit on his own pretty good. He's eating well....as you can see and he's finally sleeping in his own bed. He's getting better each night. We go to the doctor in a couple of weeks for his next check up so I'll give you details later. Here are a couple of pictures of him. He's my happy little boy......so pleasant and loves watching every move his big brother makes!

First Bath Together

I've been waiting for this moment basically since Jake was born. It is so much easier to bath them together than separate. Jeremy and I usually take one to each bathroom and get the job done. Now we can do it all in one bathroom. Jake still isn't completely sitting up by himself but with the help of a chair, he's doing great. So I gave it a try the other night and it went pretty well. Jake turns 5 months

Jake is officially 5 months old. We had a well baby visit a week ago....we are a little behind because its so hard to get an appointment at the doctor. Jake weighs 19.1 lbs and is 27 inches long. Yes, once again, I have another boy in the 95th percentile. Can you imagine my grocery bill when they get older.

This has been a fun month with Jake. He is the happiest baby and very predictable. He only cries when he is hungry or tired and he is a very scheduled child. He is trying to sit up right now and tries to roll over but hasn't quite made it all the way. We'll get there. I'm not rushing any of it...it makes me nervous to have 2 that are mobile. He grabs toys....puts everything in his mouth and talks a lot.

Jake has been a little sicker than Jax was at this stage. He's had a cold for a while which I did take him to the doctor for but ofcourse they said it was viral and couldn't do anything for him. When we went back for the well baby visit, he had a double ear infection. I would have never known because he never fused or pulled at his ears. He's such a good baby! He's still not sleeping through the night every night. Sometimes he does and sometimes he doesn't. Other than that, I can't complain. I'm a very lucky mom to have 2 wonderful little boys! Mother's Day Out...So it begins!

This is the only picture I could get of Jax standing still before we left for his first day of mother's day out. He's not a big fan of taking pictures at the moment....

Jax started Noah's Ark Bible School at First Baptist Midlothian on Tuesday. He will be going Tuesday and Thursdays while I work. I've been pretty anxious and nervous about all this for the past week. Jax is at that point where he needs to be socialized...as I say. He doesn't do well when we drop him off at Sunday school lately and he's use to being around me and Grandma Jackson all day.

I took him in Tuesday morning and gave him a kiss in the car before I pulled him out of his car seat. I told him I loved him very much and sat there and cried for a minute. He was looking at me like what the heck is wrong with you. We walked in and I took him into his room. He got a little frantic but never cried. His two teachers are so sweet and all the other kids were playing and calm. I told him that Honey (my mom) would pick him up after school and that I would see him later and I left. I never heard him scream. My mom was able to look at the security cameras all day and give me updates. He played with the other kids, ate his lunch and even took a 40 minute nap......not bad for the first day. He loved the play ground as well. We went back on Thursday and he had an even better day. So far so good.

They will be learning there letters, colors, shapes and even Spanish. He's a head of the game already because he's a pretty smart kid but I know he'll have fun. So far so good! We look forward to seeing how this makes him grow and mature over the next year. Until next time, we'll keep you posted!

Jake Ryan's Dedication

August 15th, 2010 - Jake Ryan Jackson was dedicated at First Baptist Dallas by Dr. Robert Jeffrees. Both sides of our family came for the event. It went great. The preschool minister brought Jax and Jake down at the end of the service for the dedication. Jake had a few words of his own to say during the prayer and had some great faces for the camera. Jax was amazed by everything and was very well behaved. When they brought the boys in, we were singing a hymn and Jax had his own version singing "You've got a friend in me" (toy story in case you didn't know) It was so cute. What a great day for our family. Following the service, we went and ate at El Fenix in downtown Dallas. It was so nice to be with both of our families. What a great day. My sister took a bunch of pictures. It was hard to see everything from where she was sitting so she got some on the screen as well. Enjoy and we'll keep you posted!

Another fun week

Loved these pictures...especially the second one. We were all about to take a nap and they looked so cute laying there so I grabbed my camera. Jake is a very scheduled little boy and he was ready for his nap...no time for pictures mom :)

We took Jax to see Toy Story 3 this last weekend. He sat in his dad's lap pretty much the entire time and watched the movie. He loves toy story. He has the action figures and a bunch of other toy story things. He runs around the house yelling out "to infinity and beyond" He's so funny. Jake went to the movie to and did awesome!

I've been on the lookout for a tent. In the mean time, I built Jax one to play in in the living room. He loves it.

We've finally started solid foods with Jake. He's 4 months old today! So far he loves bananas. He's ok with sweet potatoes and pares. Its going well. He sneezed after this first picture and got food all over his face. Isn't he a little chunk!

The Jackson Boys

This last week was a pretty ordinary week around our house but of course I still got some great pictures of the boys and what was going on in their lives

Jeremy helped with a bbq dinner out at Mt. Lebanon this past week. We go every year and this year was no different. It was a great dinner (because Jeremy smoked it all :) ) and when we got done, we put Jax to work. We explain to him all the time that one day he will work out here....we just got an early start. The pictures above are of Jax washing a table with Jeremy supervising and then Jax putting up the butter with Grammy. Good times at camp!

This next picture is of Jake on the kitchen table. Jax put his hat on him... He looks like he's in pain. I just thought it was cute :)

These last two pictures are of Jake in my bathroom mirror. I put him up there one day while I was putting on my makeup and he sat and talked to himself for the next 10 minutes. Hours of entertainment as I like to say. His little personality is really starting to come out. He talks and laughs and screams with joy as long as you are paying attention to him. What a Week!!

This is how last week started out for me. Jax was sitting next to me on the couch and decided to throw his sippy cup at me - direct hit....on my eye and his bottom if you know what I mean :) It was one of the worst pains I have ever felt and I have a lovely black eye to prove it.

My week only got worse. I went in for a second hernia surgery 5 days ago to fix the same one from my c-section. I'm still in severe pain and get to go back to work tomorrow. What a great week. Thank God for hydrocodone!

Enough about me. On to the boys.

Jax and Jeremy went to Vacation Bible School at FB Dallas this past week. Jeremy helped out with recreation and Jax got to experience the 2 yr old class. The first day was rough but Jax got better each day he went. He got to go to music class, recreation, watch a puppet show and ride a pony. I still can't believe he rode the pony. He's getting so big. I think it was a good intro to what mothers day out will be like in a few months.

These next pictures are from last night. Jax has a big head like Jeremy and Jeremy was trying to take his shirt off for bath time. It got stuck and we all got tickled. I can't laugh without it being painful at the moment due to my hernia surgery so this was a rough moment for me :) What a little stinker!

Last but not least.....look at my sweet cheecks. What a sweet little sleeper. Unfortunately it didn't last too long. He woke up at 2 am....what the heck :) Love my boys!! Until next time, we'll keep you posted!

3 Months Old and Counting

Jake Ryan turns 3 months old today. He now weighs 15lbs 13oz and is 25 inches long. He's in the 95th % for weight and 90th for height. Amazingly his head circ. is in the 50%. Jax was always off the charts in the head area :)

Jake is doing great! He is sleeping through the night, eating well and is such a happy baby. He talks and smiles all the time unless tired or hungry....he lets me know - believe it! He's holding toys when you give them to him, plays under his play gym very well and now sits in the bumbo. He loves to look around. I'm so blessed to have 2 happy and easy going little boys! Weekend in Austin

This weekend, we loaded up the family and headed to Austin for a wedding. Jeremy's cousin, Jennifer Jackson (now Box), got married at a cute little chapel/outdoor location in Austin. It was an interesting time to say the least. We started with rehearsal dinner at a neat little bbq joint, a few other fun places to eat, a little shopping, and visits with all of Jeremy's family. I think we wore the boys out but had a great time! Here are some pics and funny stories below.....

So, we stopped at mcdonalds on the way to Austin for lunch. Jax doesn't usually like the playground but changed his mind this one day and quickly climbed to the top. Another little boy had to go up and get him down because he was having too much fun. He slid down this big slide and said "yeah". he wanted to go again but we had to leave. What a shock!

The next pic is of Jax entering the hotel...isn't it fun having two little boys. I felt like I brought half my house with me :)

Number 1 gets shifted to dad and mom gets baby....or atleast that's what it feels like right now.....I have a hard time with this many days but I keep telling myself it will even itself out over time...right?

Fathers Day 2010

Jeremy's fathers day technically started yesterday but who's counting. He started his morning with a round of golf with some friends in his new polo golf shirt. We also got a gym membership for both of us...thank goodness - we need it!

This morning, the boys gave him a fathers day card and Jax told him "happy faders day". We went on to church at FB Dallas where we finally joined today. We are so excited to finally be members of the church we love so dearly! We enjoyed a nice lunch at Hunkys in Oakcliff with Grumpa, Grammy, Grandma, Sylvia, David and Steven after church. We are taking it easy this afternoon before another busy week gets started.

I am so thankful for my wonderful husband. He is a great daddy and his boys love him. Jeremy is so involved with Jax and takes good care of both of them while I work my 3 days during the summer and after school during the school year. Grandma Jackson turns 80

Grandma Jackson turned 80 this last week and what a celebration! We started with a small get together at our house on Thursday night followed by a trip to Oklahoma for the weekend and then a lunch on Sunday to finish it out.

We loaded up the boys and the rest of the family - Roger and Jana, Grandma, Amy and Paul (Jeremy's older sister) and the 4 of us in a large van - and headed for Mounds Oklahoma. I took this opportunity to match the boys for the first time. They did great traveling to Oklahoma - 5 hours in a van...not bad! We visited a lot of Grandma's past including her old church, graveyards of family members and had lunch with some old classmates and family of hers.

The 2 grave sites that I have here are Jeremy's grandfather and Grandma's husband (Pappa Fred) and then Pappa Fred's parents - his Mother was named Evelyn.....side note - if I ever have a little girl, she would be named Evie after Evelyn....who knows if there will be a third child or a girl for that matter but that's what it will be.

After our visits on the first day in Oklahoma, we headed to the hotel and enjoyed our first night out of our house with 2 little boys in a hotel. Jax enjoyed it. I was nursing Jake and watching Jax in the bed next to me. He was having fun watching tv, playing with the phone and reading books to himself.

He's a funny little boy. He did great on his first trip out of Texas. He can even say Oklahoma. We headed back to Texas on Saturday and Jax was done with the car seat. It was a rough ride home but we managed. Happy Birthday Grandma. We love You!

2 months old

This past Friday, Jake turned 2 months. Everything had been going well until this week. I came home from work one day and his voice was hoarse. He had a cough and congestion.....what the heck?? He woke up the next morning with a fever so I called the doctor and we went in. Of course, they did nothing and sent me home -he had a cold....seriously. So we've spent the rest of the week suctioning his little nose and dealing with it. He's much better now and we also found out that he already weighs 13lbs. He eats well :)

Other than his cold, he's doing great. He began smiling right at 6 weeks. He talks more in the mornings but he's definitely a talker. He looks right at Jax when he talks to him - so cute. As I said before, he eats well and is sleeping better and better. He usually eats around 9pm and then wakes again around 1:30 or 2am and then sleeps till 6. I'm starting to get sleep again. Both boys take naps about the same time so I usually get a good hour nap in the afternoon before Jake wakes up - Jax goes on to sleep another hour which is fine by me. All in all, everything is going well. I'm learning to handle both at the same time better and we are having a great time.

So there is my update for now. I also have to include a picture of Jax for the week. He loves our shoes and pulls them out all the time. Here is a picture of him with his daddy's boots on at the age of 2. I want to take a picture of him every year with his daddy's boots on - until he can really wear them....it will be fun to watch him grow!

Sesame Street Birthday Party

We had a great time at Jax's 2nd birthday party. Like last year, we held it out at Mt. Lebanon. Jeremy smoked pulled pork and hotdogs and we ate a great cake and swam a little. It was nice to sit around and visit with family and friends as well as watch Jax open some great gifts. I have tons of pictures of grandparents, great grandparents and other family as well as Jax having fun with his friend Cooper. I also added one of Jake at 7 weeks getting over his first cold at his big brother's party. Thanks to everyone that came. Jax has had a great time playing with all his toys today. Jax turns 2

Two years ago my first little man entered the world at 10:13am on May 27th. In between doing it again with number 2, we have been trying to make this week as special as possible for Jax. We had a great day on his actual birthday and there is more to come this weekend with his party.

For the last few months, if you asked Jax what he wanted to do for his birthday, he'd say "Chucky Cheese" and "Dance" So that's what we planned to do. We started off the morning with his cousins and Aunt D at a sprinkler park in Mansfield. As usual, Jax was a little unsure about the whole thing but we ended up having a good time between the sprinklers and the playground. I even got shot in the rear by one of the water features. My sister got a good laugh of course. I think it scared Jax :)

We went home for a good nap and woke up in time to get ready and go to Chuck E Cheese. Jax had a great time seeing Chucky and dancing....just what he wanted to do. Grandma Jackson, Grumpa and Grammy joined us and we had a great time playing games and eating pizza. Jax got a little freaked out about Chucky when he came to visit us but then he was ok - hence the funny face in the picture with Chucky. Below are some pictures from our adventure.

One Month Old, Mothers Day and More

Where does the time go. I can't believe Jake is already a month old. He's growing so much and I think looking more like his big brother every day as he fills out. He has become more active - holding his head up, being awake a lot more but sleeping well at night. I still wake up one to two times a night with him. He laughs in his sleep a lot and smiles with his cute little dimples...I love it!

Big brother is busy doing his own thing as well. We let Jax experience the sprinklers in the back yard last week and it was hilarious. I have 3 pictures to explain. He liked it at first. Went back for more only to get sprayed really hard and then took off crying and had nothing else to do with it. That's Mr. Cautious for ya. See below

I also got a cute picture of Jax and dad this last week. Jeremy is officially done with baseball and being a coach for good! We are enjoying having him home...especially Jax.

And the last picture of the week is from Mothers Day. I tried to get a good picture of all of us and ofcourse that just can't happen. Not to mention, I hate having pictures taken of myself right now due to just having a baby but here ya go. Jax came in Sunday morning and said "happy mothers day" he's been taught well! Jeremy and the boys gave me a pedicure and some new shoes I've been wanting....so exciting. We had a great day visiting Jeremy's family. Jax and his many hats

So I've been taking pictures over the last couple of weeks to show you how funny my son can be. Jax loves hats! He wears them everywhere. Somehow he has accumulated quite a collections and when he's at other people's houses, he finds their hats as well. So here we go with all the pictures.

This first picture is Jax's farmer hat. It actually use to be a sombrero but the dogs chewed it and now its his farmer hat. I would say its his favorite. He wears it around the house all the time.
This next hat was my
grandfather's hat. He is at my grandmother's house with her cane playing around.

This next pictures was taken on the way to grandma's house. He's wearing his grandpa's little helper hat.

This is a hat a friend of mine gave me but it now stays in Jax's room. This is his second favorite hat I would say. Half the time you can't see his eyes because he wears it so low but it cracks me up - he looks like he's going to the kentucky derby.

This is one of the twins birthday hats from chucky cheese. When he goes to my sister's house, he wears this around the last few times we've been over there.

Three Weeks Old with the Grandmas

Jake is now three weeks old and doing great. At his last checkup, he already weighed 9.5lbs and was 21 3/4 inches long. He's definitely filling out more. He's still sleeping well through the night - waking up at 2 and 5 and is starting to wake up more during the day but still getting plenty of naps in. I'm starting to notice a bit of some moodiness or as Jeremy said the other night "Jake, you're a little pistol" When the boy is hungry, you can't hold him off. He explodes until he gets his way.....I don't know who he is acting like..hehe

I'm working on another blog entry right now that will come later this week so I didn't take too many pics this week for this one. We had a couple of doc appointments this week and went to visit my grandmother and Grandma Jackson. Jax loves both grandmas and has so much fun at there houses...or I should say there backyards.

This picture was taken at my grandmothers house. Jax loves my grandmothers canes and carries them everywhere. He's got on my grandfathers hat and was in between going inside and outside when I got him to stop and pose for a pic.....little stinker!

This next pic is with Grandma Jackson. We went to her house on Friday and stayed for the afternoon. Jax had some great fun. This next pic just cracks me up. Grandma will do anything to entertain Jax....can you tell. Gotta love it!

And of course, I had to get a pic of the two boys together. I've started getting out the play yard and Jax loves it as much as Jake....well, I think Jax likes it more right now. He enjoys the music and going in and out of the set. He was actually cooperating for this picture. Well, that's it for right now. There is more to come this week. Until then, we'll keep you posted!

Week 2 and all the fun

Jake is now 2 weeks old and doing great. He still sleeps the majority of the day, which I appreciate while learning to cope with 2 little boys. He's awake a couple of hours in the morning and a couple in the evening but that's about it. Jax continues to be a sweet big brother and is adjusting better and better. We continue the long line of doctor appointments this next week and I have 4 weeks left till I go back to work.....lets not think about that right now though :(

Onto our week in pictures... We finally managed to get Jax to actually hold Jake. I just think this picture is soooo precious. It only lasted a second. Glad I had the camera handy.

This next picture holds a funny story....When I was born, I sucked these same 2 fingers but I did it until I was in the 1st grade and they put a rake in my mouth to make me stop - followed by lots of dental work. Anyways, I've caught him doing this a few times and I had to get a picture. Hopefully it won't be a long term thing....yikes!

We also took our first bath this week. He didn't like it to say the least. That is the worst cry I've ever heard in my life and its also changed our evening routine for the best. After his bath, he stays awake for about an hour and then out he goes until I wake him up to feed him before going to sleep myself. It's awesome. I guess I just ware him out. I took a few more pictures from our evening routine....

The next pictures show mom learning to juggle two kids. Jax loves to play outside so I always try to take him out and let him burn some energy while we are couped up in the house for the time being. He got a bubble set from some friends of ours and loves it so we played bubbles and Jake enjoyed the outdoors in the carrier....He loved it - or I should say he slept the whole time. It was great for all three of us.

The last picture for the week was taken on Saturday morning. Jeremy is finishing up baseball season and has been gone ALOT!! I've had my mom over here helping out due to baseball games and a wedding thrown in there as well. I can't lift Jax or put him in the tub or get in his bed with him....its killing me but thank God for mom and DeAnn. DeAnn takes Jax to McDonalds and for rides in the car just to get him out and mom puts my child to bed....anyways, sorry for the tangent. I was so excited to see all three of them together so I took a pic....love it and love my family! Until next time, we'll keep you posted!

One Week Old and Many Thanks

Jake is already one week old. He's changed so much already. I think he looks more like me now. At first I wasn't sure but every day I notice it more. Jax was my stout one and this is my little guy. I never even used newborn diapers or newborn clothes on Jax and I'll be using them for a while with Jake. He's sleeping and eating well and that's pretty much all he does right now....more to come

I've also included some pictures of Jax and Jake enjoying each others company. Jax loves for Jake to come to his room. He even tried to pull him by his arm yesterday because he wanted him in there so bad. He's very soft with him and doing great so far.

I've had lots of help from family this week. My mom stayed the night through Friday and my sister DeAnn came a few days to help out with Jax and laundry. Grandma Jackson came one day and played with Jax and brought some food and then Gigi came last night and helped with Jax and Jake. I'm so thankful to everyone - I don't think I could have done it alone!

Jake Ryan Jackson born 4/9/10

Jake Ryan Jackson was born at 8:05 on April 9,2010 weighing 8lbs 5oz and 20in long.

I had my second c-section with my wonderful Dr (Dr. Monti) at Baylor in downtown Dallas. Jeremy and my sister DeAnn were in the OR with me during the whole thing. Don't I look great!

Everything went well and I was soon in recovery with all the family present from both sides. Good thing no one else was in the recovery room but us :)

After a couple of hours in recovery, they took me up to my room for 3 long days of hospital care. I had hernea surgery as well so my whole middle area feels horrible - thank goodness for pain meds and good nurses!!

They soon brought Jax in to meet his new baby brother. This was a rough time. My sweet little boy had a hard time with mom being in the bed. He wanted me to come with him when he left the room and couldn't understand why I couldn't go. It has gotten much better since we have been home though. He has warmed up nicely to Jake and loves on him very softly with kisses and hugs.

We had plenty of visitors from family and friends while we were there as well. It was great to see everyone and we are so thankful for the support we have gotten over the last week. Jax stayed with Grumpa and Grammy over the weekend and my mom and sister have been doing house duty the last week while I recover from my c-section. We are truly blessed to have both of our families so close by!

We went home on Monday April 12th. We are learning the ropes with 2 little boys and loving every minute. Jake has been sleeping a lot ofcourse and only waking up once in the middle of the night - I hope this continues. I think he looks more like me and I was shocked when they told me he was smaller than Jax. I look forward to seeing how he grows and changes over the next year. Well, that's it for now. Fun at the Zoo

Today, Jax, Preston, Grant, DeAnn and I went to the Dallas Zoo. We had a great time seeing all the animals. Mommy just had a hard time walking up all the hills.....whoo! It was a great day to go.

After we got done seeing most of the animals, we ate lunch and then went to the children's zoo where the boys could play around. They had lots of fun!

We finally decided to head out and Jax wasn't even in the car 2 minutes before he was asleep. Well, this is it for now. The next post will be of our new little boy next week sometime when I regain my sanity. Keep us in your prayers and we'll keep you posted!!

Easter 2010

We had a great Easter this year. We started off the morning with a visit from the Easter Bunny and then headed to church at First Baptist Dallas. After church, we went to my grandmother's house for lunch and an Easter egg hunt followed by a visit to Jeremy's dad's house for some time with Grumpa, Grammy, Grandma Jackson and the rest of the gang.

Jax got a few candy items and sesame street toys from the Easter bunny. He stayed interested in the Easter egg hunt for about 10 minutes and decided he'd rather play around after that. We had a great day and look forward to the next one. I've included a lot of pictures of the day so enjoy!

Oreos and Faffles

So here I am, 38 weeks pregnant with a few cravings. Unfortunately, I've drug my son down with me. For the last month, I've been craving oreo cookies for late night snacks and Ego waffles for breakfast. Jax loves both!

As you see in the picture, I taught him how to dunk his oreos in milk and he thinks that is the greatest thing ever. As far as the waffles go, the "w" comes out as another "f" so we have faffles for breakfast.

This is all I have for this week as I sit here at 7:30am doing this blog. I've worked every day this week since it is my last week....thank goodness. Jax has had a lot of time with Grandma and my feet have begun to swell. Two days left and it will all be over.

Diaper Showers for Jake

Yesterday was a great day for the Jackson Family! We started off our morning with a diaper shower given to us by our Sunday School Class at First Baptist Dallas and then from 2-4, my best friend, Wanissa and my sister, DeAnn gave me a diaper shower at DeAnn's house.

We are so grateful for everyone that came and gave us such wonderful gifts. You can never have enough diapers!! I took a picture of Jake's closet to show you how stocked we are at the moment with diapers and wipes.

DeAnn did a great job of decorating....as usual. We had some great food and just a good time of enjoying each others company. Not only did I get plenty of diapers but also a good amount of babies r us gift cards, wipes, ointments, a play gym, and a few clothes for my new little man.

The only thing missing....Jake. I'm ready so you can make your entrance at any time.....seriously! Thanks again to everyone! Jeremy and I are so blessed to have such wonderful families and friends! Until next time, we'll keep you posted!

36 Weeks Pregnant...Are we done yet?

I thought I would finally show myself and believe me, there is plenty to show! I am 36 weeks pregnant today and soooo ready for this little boy to get here. I have finally hit that point of being done with this pregnancy. I'm uncomfortable, I can't sleep and my lower back is killing me.

This pregnancy has been totally different from my first and has been great up until about a week ago. Jax was breach - head up and planned c-section but this little guy is head down and I have so much pressure that I didn't experience before. I've put on about the same amount of weight but haven't had any swelling or high blood pressure this time....which is a blessing!

I had a doctor appointment today and everything is looking good. We are just waiting to see how Jake is going to get here....c-section on april 9th or VBAC when he decides he's ready. I'm just taking one day at a time....time will tell.

I got some great sono pics today of Jakes face. He was laying on his side. He has cheeks and a chin like Jax. The second pic shows his nose and lips. He's a bit smashed in that pic.

So everything is coming along well. I've tried to get a couple of pictures of Jax kissing my belly or talking to my belly but when he sees the camera he thinks he's suppose to say cheese or pose so those pictures haven't happened. This pic - I just love. It was one morning and he had his hand on my belly just taping his fingers....precious. He tells Jake night night and love you and Hi Jake....I hope it goes this well when he gets here!

These last couple of pictures are just of Jax hamming it up. He pulled down his diaper one night and was running around laughing at himself and of course stopped to say cheese in the process. As he says..."what a mess". Enjoy and we'll keep you posted!

Sesame Street with Grumpa and Grammy

OK, so its been 2 weeks since this event actually took place but at least I finally got some time to sit down and write about it. I'm so tired right now - all I want to do is sleep and lay around but I don't think that will happen until this child makes his entrance and even then...how much rest am I really going to get :) Gotta love it.

Anyways, on to the big adventure. Jax got to go with Grumpa and Grammy to Sesame Street Live at Nokia theater a couple of weeks ago. They said he watched so intently and loved every minute.....I knew he would. He's always loved elmo but now he also likes ernie and is getting into the other characters of sesame street. He gets so excited when they come on. I've included a few pictures that Grammy took of the night. Enjoy and we'll keep you posted!

Mom time with Jax

Jax and I have had some great home time together lately. I'm tired a lot and don't like getting out so much and when we do, we don't go far. These pictures are all about mom and Jax time with a little Aunt D and Cousin Preston mixed in.

I got Jax a finger painting set a while back ago and I think he was still too young to enjoy it. I got it out again last week and he had a ball. We painted and colored for a good hour.

Jax got to spend a day with Aunt D (my sister DeAnn) while I worked one day and of course she took a million pictures but I don't have that kind of time to put them all on my blog. These next pictures are from that day and then the day that Jax, DeAnn, Preston and I went to the mall just to get out of the house.

I always call Jax "Mr. Cautious" because he is. Well, this is a perfect example. We let Jax and Preston ride the carousel and Preston of course loved it but Jax was a different story. He almost strangled me. He hated it and wouldn't let go while he cried and screamed the whole time. DeAnn was laughing her head off taking pictures from the side. One day I hope he will like riding things....but not right now :( Until next time, we'll keep you posted!

Bye Bye Chucky

Jax had his first experience with Chucky Cheese last week. My sisters twins turned 5 this last week and we celebrated on Valentines night with a packed house at chucky cheese. It was insane to say the least. Mr. Cautious wasn't too sure about some of the rides but anything with a steering wheel or anything that daddy did was fun stuff.

All in all, we had a great time and enjoyed partying with the cousins. When we left, Jax kept saying "Bye Bye Chucky" and continued to say it all the way home. He really enjoyed dancing and watching Chucky Cheese.

I've included some pictures including this second one - Jax had a melt down in this car and his cousin Preston looked on like - what is going on with this kid.

Snow Week and Stomach Bug

What a crazy week....from the snow to Jax picking up a stomach bug and giving it to mommy and daddy for the week. Weren't we lucky. Jax got the bug on Monday night. We were one throw up away from the emergency room and then it just stopped. Poor little guy was white as a sheet but started asking for water around 12:45am and it was all over. Jeremy got it Wednesday night and stayed home Thursday and luckily had a snow day Friday and then I got it Thursday night. Mine started at 7pm and went on till 3am. I was also off on Friday so that worked out well. My sister saved us with some phenergan.
In between us getting sick, we tried to enjoy the snow a bit. We put Jax out in it on Thursday and Mr. Cautious wasn't too sure at first but then we built a snowman and threw some snow balls around and he didn't want to go in. I even got a picture of the dogs. They loved the snow.

Picture of the week: So Jeremy finally decided to build a fire this week. He was getting it going and using newspaper to help it out. Well Jax had just had his diaper changed and I hadn't put his pants back on yet. He went and grabbed a piece of the newspaper and had a seat on his drum. I just about died and happen to have my camera handy......looks just like a man in the bathroom. What a perfect ending to a blog about the stomach bug :)
