Christmas Morning 2008

Christmas morning we woke up around 7am. Jeremy turned on the video camera and I brought Jax out to the living room to see what Santa had brought him. We opened up toys and a few gifts for ourselves and enjoyed Christmas morning with Amy and Paul as well. Jax had a lot of fun and still is playing with his new toys. He got a baseball set that talks, stacker blocks, shape blocks/bucket, elmo cell phone, the animal says...spinner and a few other things from Santa.

He played so hard, he wore himself out!

After we did Christmas at our house, we loaded up and headed to my parents house down the street for the day. Jax wasn't too happy to be put in his carrier as usual but he enjoyed opening gifts and having fun with Honey and Pappa. We got some great gifts from my family and Jeremy was thrilled to receive his cracker barrel rocking chairs for his new back porch. He's already put them to good use.

As I mentioned earlier, Jeremy's older sister and husband - Amy and Paul came to visit from Arizona for the week. Jax loves his Aunt Amy and Uncle Paul and were very glad that they came and stayed with us....especially since they brought Jax a huge talking Elmo, guitar and mic!

Below are some additional pictures of Jeremy, Jax and I from Christmas. These were taken for our Christmas cards and other stuff. Jax is so funny in some of them - I just had to show ya'll.

Last but not least, I had 2 other pictures from before Christmas that I wanted to put on here just because they are cute. When I took Jax to his 6 mo. check up, I took a couple of pictures of him while we were waiting on Dr. Daniels. He loves to play with my cell phone and it keeps him calm so I gave it to him....what a little chubby cutie! Other than that, that's it from the Jackson household for now. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and we'll keep you posted in 2009!

Christmas Eve 2008

What a great year this has been! We've had a lot to be thankful for and are very excited about the next year and what's to come.....on that note, Christmas has come and gone once again and we have a ton of pictures to show for it.

We moved into a new house this year and Jeremy and his dad recently decided to build a pergula or however you spell it in our backyard. This is just the beginnning of it but I thought I'd include a picture before I begin with the Christmas pictures. We plan on expanding throught the corner of the house and flooring the area as well.

Christmas began for our family on Christmas Eve at Grandma Jackson's house. We go there every year for Jeremy's dad side of the family. Grandma Jackson watches Jax on tuesdays and wednesdays at our house while I work and Jax loves her dearly! Picture included

In the last month, Jax has begun doing many funny tricks. You can ask him if he's cute and he turns his head to the side and smiles - picture included

We had a lot of fun at Grandma's house - we introduced Jax to the piano, had a great dinner and opened presents. We are so thankful for our families! Below are more pictures of that evening. More blogging to come on Christmas - We'll keep you posted

Thanksgiving

We had a great time at Thanksgiving this year. We started things off at my grandmother's house in Dallas for lunch then headed to Grumpa's house in Oakcliff for dinner. It was fun to be around family for Jax's 1st Thanksgiving. He was 6 months old on Thanksgiving day.

We also stopped in at the Turners house. Shelley T was in town with her new boyfriend so we had dinner with them so she could meet Jax for the first time.

Pictures included are of my grandmother and Jax, one of Jeremy's cousins - Melissa with Jax....he gives great kisses, and a few others by himself. We'll keep you posted.

Longhorns in the playoffs

Well, Jeremy's team - the Cedar Hill Longhorns made it pretty far into the playoffs this year. They finally got beat by Wylie but still had a great year. We got a chance to go see a game at Texas Stadium and Jax did great...with a little help from Gigi, Grumpa and Grandma Jackson. He slept through the first half and then was wide awake and happy for the rest of the game. We got to go on the field for some pictures after it was over. Pretty cool considering this is the last year in this stadium for the cowboys. They played Mansfield during the game we went to and beat them...it was a great game and a fun time for us.

New pics finally

Well, I finally got some new pictures on my blog of Jax. He is now 6 months old weighing in at 20.4 lbs and 29 inches long. He's doing great - sits up well, plays with his toys and is entertaining the thought of crawling slowly but surely. Our computer is still not fixed but is in the works so I'm doing this at my mom's house on my day off. I'll write longer blogs when I get a chance. Just wanted to get some new pics up and let ya'll know I haven't stopped blogging. Oh and Congrats goes out to Melinda and Leland on their new baby girl Kate and Vanessa and Nathan on their new son Ethan! We'll keep you posted!

We're still here

Hey guys, sorry we haven't posted anything in a while. My computer is having issues and is in the process of being fixed. I'm at my mom's house right now paying bills and typing this. I have a ton of pictures of Jax waiting to be posted but my camera insert to the computer is with the computer so that will have to wait. Give me another week or two hopefully and we'll be back up and running with tons of pictures.

Halloween Week....What a week!

What a fun week for Jax! Before I explain the halloween festivities for the week, I have to show you dad's picture of the week. I got home one night and was shocked to see that my husband had dressed Jax in one of his A&M outfits.....maybe he's finally catching on - since Jax Will be going to A&M :) or maybe it was because he's worn so much orange this week due to Halloween and we had to balance that ugly color out.

Last year before Jax was born, my sister, DeAnn, bought Jax some Halloween pj's. It was fun to finally put him in them. The first picture was taken right before he went to bed.....he was sooo tired. The next two were the second outfit. One picture with Mona and the other one is Jax doing what he does best.....chewing on his clothes. He does this all the time and it drives me crazy - puts everything in his mouth!

The rest of the pictures are from the day of Halloween. We started off our morning with a trip to Jeremy's school. Jeremy took him around to all of his teacher friends and we also stopped and got a picture. Jax was a monkey this year. I seriously think this costume added 10 lbs to my poor child. He was still soooo cute

After we left the school, we went to my salon and my mom's office. Then we went home, took a nap and headed over to DeAnn's for a night of trick or treating. We got a picture with all the boys and then headed out for the neighborhood. We had a good day overall and look forward to next year when he'll be walking and understanding a little better. Well, that's it for now...We'll keep you posted

Homecoming in Midlothian

That's right, it's an exciting time of year in Midlothian - Homecoming....where there are more floats for pee-wee sports than there are for high school or middle school combined. It's pretty humorous but fun for kids to watch.....of course, I can't say much because I was in that silly parade every year growing up for cheerleading. Anyways, Jax and I met up with DeAnn and her boys to watch the parade. Jax fell asleep half way through it but I got a couple of pictures before that happened of the boys.

Not much else happened this week except this funny little story. I came home from work on Wednesday night (I get home around 8:15) Jax's light was on in his bedroom and I knew that Jeremy was home taking care of him. I walked in the room and saw the funniest sight. Jeremy had Jax propped up in his red sox rocker with a red sox cap on that is meant for newborns. The hat was stretched over my little man's head and then all he had on was some sweat pants. Luckily, I had my camera in my purse and got a quick picture. Jax was all smiles - well except in my picture....He loves hanging out with dad!

This last picture is Jax having his evening meal. We're getting ready for Halloween and of course Jax has plenty of Halloween outfits for this week. Gigi brought this bib by this weekend so we had to put it on for dinner.

That's about it for now - check back with us next week for some great Halloween photos and more. We'll keep you posted!
