At the end of June, we went on vacation and decided to come home and put our house on the market. Seeing both of our neighbors sold their houses in a week, we were excited. Well, 6 weeks later, we finally sold our house. It was a very stressful process and the people that bought it were very difficult. We then moved in with my parents to start the building process. Our family suffered greatly during this time. No offense to my parents but it was not fun for many reasons! I didn't enjoy all the junk that came with trying to build a house. One night, I was online looking at houses again and a house that I had been watching for a few months had dropped over 50,000. We went and looked at it on a Friday, put a bid on it and found out Sunday that over 2 other families, we got it! We were so excited. Everything had worked out in perfect timing for us. I love this house. I never want to leave....or I never want to go through that process ever again! It has 4 bedrooms, living, gameroom upstairs, formal dining, sunroom and it sits on a half acre with a fenced in pool and plenty of trees. I truly feel at home here. God has blessed our family with this house and I am so thankful. Here are some pictures. We painted a few rooms but I'm not done with ours.

Smores and random pictures
We introduced the kids to smores a couple of weeks ago. Jeremy fired up the fire pit in the backyard and we tried them out. The boys had fun smoking the marshmellows on a cold night. Unfortunately, they only took a couple of bites and had enough. I think they were too big for them. It was a fun experience. Lola and I stayed outside as long as we could stand the smoke and cold.
I also got a good pic of Lola and I before we went to my grandmother's 85th birthday party and the last one is a picture of Lola and Scarlett (Shelley Turner's daughter) at Thanksgiving. They came over for a few minutes and we got a few pictures. Funny to see our daughters together after all these years. Good times!

Jake's trip to the dentist
I took Jake to the dentist for the first time at age 3. We went to a pediatric dentist - Shelly Clark - in Midlothian. He did great...I knew he would. They were so nice and it was a great place for kids...games in the waiting room and tvs on the ceiling. They explained everything to him so well and he got a toy at the end. His teeth were fine except for a little spotting on his molars that we need to watch but no cavities for now. Here are some pictures.
Thanksgiving 2013
Thanksgiving this year was pretty good. We enjoyed it with Jeremy's side of the family. We started at Gigi's house and then went to Grumpa's house for dinner. I got a few pictures of the kids before we left for the day. Katy, Nathan and Roman were in town from Florida. We got to meet Roman for the first time and the kids loved him! Such a cute kid!! Jeremy smoked a lot of meat for many people over his break.....his business is doing well! I only got a few pictures but we had a great time with the family
Attempt on Christmas pictures
The Jackson world has been a little crazy since July. We sold a house, bought a house, lived with our parents, sent a kid to the ER, all had the flu...I could go on and on. So, I decided not to do Christmas cards this year. I havent had good luck with my crazy toddler and I just don't want to deal with it this year. So here are a few pictures and this is it for this Christmas.
Stitches for Jax
I never thought I would be writing a blog about Jax getting stitches...Jake, yes...Jax, no. Poor little guy was in the wrong place at the wrong time. We had just moved into our new house 3 days prior. Jeremy was finishing up some painting in Lola's room and we were all in there. Lola's bed hadn't been put together yet and one of the boards fell and landed right on Jax's eyebrow area...with a metal piece in it. I will never forget it as long as I live. He didn't even see it coming. Blood shot from his head and he screamed. I told Jeremy to go get a towel and ice pack. I held the wound tight while blood continued to come out. Before it was over, we were both covered in blood. My son had a hole in his head....and I don't do well with blood! My mom was able to get to our house in record time to watch my little guys and off we went to mansfield ER. I made Jax repeat his ABCs over and over the whole way. He did such a good job the whole time. We had to do a CT scan and he got 5 stitches. They wrapped him up in a sheet and gave him 5 or 6 shots in his wound to deaden the area. After that he calmed down. 2 hours later, we went home. Poor little Jake was a little confused and scared. Jax is doing great now. He has a scar and I don't think he'll ever forget it but we made it through. Here are some pics

Happy 35th to me!
I turned 35 years this October. I wanted to do something fun and different for this milestone. I've always wanted a tattoo but not sure if I could go through with it and many other fears and questions. After I had Lola and knew I was done, I really wanted one. Sunflowers have always been my thing and I wanted my kids names tattooed as well so I combined the two on my foot....the most painful place for a tattoo! Jeremy and I went for a fun dinner and then stopped at a bar and had a few drinks to loosen me up. We got to the tattoo place in deep ellum and had it all set up. The guy did a good job and I love my tattoo. It hurt really bad at the beginning but I got use to the pain. It fellt like a lot of bee stings all at once. Its something I'll never forget and I'm glad I did it.
Homecoming Parade 2013
Another homecoming parade has come and gone with the Jackson's and Black's. Its always fun to see the school floats, band and drill team and get a little candy. The kids love it. Every year I wish they would drop all the little league stuff but then we wouldn't have much of a parade....small town living at its finest! We always get great pictures of the cousins.
