First Day of School and Lola funnies

Jax started first grade this year and has Ms. Daniells at LaRue Miller Elementary.  Jake started pre-k at FBC Midlothian mothers day out and has Ms Sherry, Ms Terry and Ms Whitney.  He goes Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday this year.  They are both doing great so far and were both excited to begin their year.  I've included their first day of school pictures. 

Lola is still staying home with grandma Jackson one more year and loving it! Shes a little ham.  She has also started gymnastics but thats for another post! I took a picture of her dressing up in my great grandmothers old clothes and the second one, she's "hiding" from us because it was time to take a bath.  She's so funny! What a personality!

Galveston August 2014

So we tried something different this year.  We got a condo off the galveston sea wall instead of going to crystal beach and renting a house.....NEVER AGAIN!!  With 3 loud children in tow, its never a good idea to stay next to other people for more than a couple of days.  The beach was covered in seaweed this year and we new that so we had plans of doing other things while we were there.  The place we stayed had a great pool that we took advantage of but there was no beach across the street like we thought.  We had to go down a ways.  We went to the pier and rode rides and ate shrimp.  The kids had fun but we ended up leaving a night earlier because we just wanted to get home.  Lesson learned.  It was still fun and we got some good rest and relaxation.  I got a picture of the beach but there were hardly any waves...it looks like a lake..LOL.  What an adventure!

July 4th

July 4th was about the same its been for the last few years.  Unfortunately, Midlothian has one of the worst fireworks shows ever! Very small town.  On the other hand, Duke Burge, that lives in my parents neighborhood shoots off a great show to music every year complete with fun for the kids.  Its always fun to go.  This year, Wanissa, Trey and their kids joined us for a day of swimming and evening fun even though I have no pictures to show of them being with us.  Happy 4th ya'll

Disney World June 2014

Our family went to disney world June 15, 2014.  We only did 2 days at disney this year and then an additional 4 days with Katy, Nathan and Roman in Jacksonville Florida.  We had a great time staying at Animal Kingdom Resort and going to Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom.  We played at magic kingdom first.  We stayed through lunch and road rides and then went back to the resort to let Lola and Daddy take a nap while Jax, Jake and mom swam in the cool pool.  Then we went to dinner with mickey mouse and went back to magic kingdom and stayed till 10:30pm.  It was great watching the first works and riding all of the rides really late that night.  The next day we went to animal kingdom and did a safari and saw all the animals.  It was ok I guess.  No need to ever go back but glad we can say we saw it.  Then we went on to see Katy and Nathan at their house in jacksonville for a few days.  we enjoyed the beach and eating at some fun restaurants on the beach.  We had a great trip and everyone did great on the airplane.  Cant wait to go back in a few years!
