Jax the Royal

My once shy child has truly come out of his shell.  Getting ready for kindergarden next year...we are trying to help him become the big boy we know is in there.  He's doing great in mother's day out...learning a lot and making some great friends.  He's maturing before our eyes.

I've waited to take him to the dentist because he doesn't like doctors.  We finally made the trip and he did pretty good.  We watched a video the night before so he seemed pretty prepared.  We got to Dr Florence's office the next day and he told the lady at the front desk that he was so excited to see the dentist.  I was shocked.  He was very happy.  Dr Florence came out and met Jax and was super nice.  Jax gave him a fist bump and we headed back.  He let the hygienist take xrays and then it was time to lay back in the chair....problem.  That's when he got a little scared.  So he sat up and did the exam.  Everything else went great and his teeth are in great shape!  Not so bad for the first time

I've also included some pictures from the "Royal ball" at school. They try to instill manners through a royal ball at valentines. They all dress up and have a date that they escort. Jax did great through the whole thing....till he got on stage. His date bowed and he...danced and shot his spider webs. Everyone laughed but I was horrified. I couldn't believe how he came to life up there. He never ceases to amaze me. He has really enjoyed dancing to songs and singing in the car lately. It's just funny to see their little personalities come out more and more. What a fun kid!

Lola at 8 months

This has been a big month for Lola. She's growing so fast and just so darn cute! Lola got her first tooth this last month. We've had a handful of bad nights but got through it. A few nights after that all began, she said "mama" Its more like "mamamama" but she says it when she wants me...even at 3am. She's also attempting to crawl. We aren't quite there yet but she's trying to get up on all fours and she rocks forward a lot. I'm not really rushing it....3 mobile children...not sure about that. She's such a fun little girl. I took some pictures in honor of Jeremy beginning baseball season and I've got a few more. Enjoy.

To Grandmothers' we go

I try to get out to my grandmothers house with the kids every chance I get but unfortunately it doesn't happen as often as I'd like. We finally made it to Dallas for the first time since seeing her at Christmas. It was like the boys had never noticed her backyard. They played out there forever and had a great time. Lola and I stayed in with grandmother and talked. The boys came in and out and didn't want to leave when I said it was time to pack it up. Can't wait till she moves to Midlothian!

Indoor Tent

Aunt Amy got the boys a tent kit for Christmas. You can put different shaped tents together using sheets that you already own. It comes with the parts for the frame. We have really enjoyed it. It was a rainy day and we put it together and had a great time with it. I even let them eat lunch in it. They really enjoyed putting it together and did a great job taking it down a couple of days later. Many more tents to come!

Outdoor Activities in January...what??

Since we've had some unusual weather for the month of January, we've decided to take advantage of it and get outside some! Jax got a new bike for Christmas and has enjoyed riding it.  We went around the block one day and about 3/4 the way he told me his legs were starting to hurt...funny I didn't think about that before we left...he'd never ridden a bike around the block.  He did great though.  I also got a picture of Lola and Jake in the stroller.  It was a great day for a walk!

The second 2 pictures were taken at a park down the street from our house.  The all loved swinging and Jax even swung himself that day.  We were all so excited.  He's done it at home before but never without me at least starting him off.  Great job Jax.  You are getting so big!

My strong superheroes

I've taken a lot of pictures lately that I'm just now getting around to posting so I'm going to group a few together.  My boys love to dress up around the house as superheroes.  They play so well together for the most part and I love it. My first picture is of the boys in one of their superhero get ups with their daddy's coaching socks on as part of their outfits. They love them.

The second picture I have....I was doing laundry one night and went to put some clothes up in my room.  Jeremy keeps some weights in our room and the boys were in there lifting weights and doing "push-ups"  I was cracking up.  Had to get a picture.  Jeremy was at a baseball scrimmage so I wanted to show him.  They were counting reps and everything.

The last 2 pictures were taken at the waxahachie gymnastics center.  On Friday's, they have open gym and I sometimes take the kids and wear them out before nap time.  They have so much fun there and I love watching them play.

Lola at 7 months

Another month has gone by and Lola is now 7 months old.  She is getting into everything if she is in arms reach of it....and it goes straight to the mouth once she gets it.  She's sitting up really well and eating great.  She is a very happy baby and loves watching her brothers.  She squeals with excitement at many things. If only she would sleep through the night, we'd be in great shape.  She still wakes up around 3am for a feeding.  I can deal with it.  She got some great toys at Christmas that she enjoys playing with and of course great clothes that I enjoy dressing her up in.  It has been such a great joy having a daughter.  I look forward to the months ahead as she continues to grow!
