Pumpkins at the Arboretum

This last Monday, Jax and I met up with Wanissa and Cooper at the Arboretum. Every year they have a pumpkin house with petting zoo, face painting, maze and games for the kids. It was a lot of fun this year now that the boys are up and running around. Jax enjoyed it so much, he was asleep within 2 minutes of being in the car on the way home. It was a fun day! Below are some pictures from the petting zoo.

The next pictures are of the boys in the maze and us trying to take their pictures in the pumpkins. The pumkin pictures were taken at lunch time and they were hungry and not wanting to cooperate.

After all that fun, we took them over to an open field and had a picnic lunch and let them roam. We had a great time. Until next time, we'll keep you posted!

State Fair 09

Note to self...Don't ever go to the fair on the last day!! We left the house at 3pm and got through the gate at 5pm. We waited in lines for 30 minutes for everything we did. Other than that, we still had a good time once we were in. It was just insanely packed as we new it would be. Jax enjoyed riding on daddy's head as much as daddy could take it.
Jax really enjoyed the midway and got to eat his first state fair corny dog - yes, he ate the whole thing. We also went and saw some animals and Big Tex of course. We stayed so long, we got to see the parade on the way out. We had a great day at the fair - Jax was asleep within 5 minutes of being in the car on the way home. Below are some pictures from our day. Until next time, we'll keep you posted!

Parade and a sad sad game

This last week was Midlothian's homecoming. We never go to the game but we've enjoyed the parade for the last two years. It brings back memories of getting to ride onto of the firetruck with the rest of the cheerleaders..hehe.

This year, Jax and I went by ourselves. We went and got a blizzard from Dairy Queen and claimed our spot to get a good seat for the parade. He was so good - he really enjoyed the firetruck and the band of course. We had a great time and I enjoyed pointing everything out to him.

On Saturday, Jeremy and I got tickets to the Texas A&M vs Arkansas game at the new cowboy stadium in Arlington for my birthday. It was unbelievable to see the new stadium - very impressive! We had seats on the second level right above the band and next to the student section. I couldn't have asked for better seats. The food was ok - not for the price....very expensive! The screen, as you can see, is so massive that it draws your eyes up even if you can see the field. I had a headache by the end of the game from watching that stinkin thing.

I ran into a few old friends from college and it was nice to revisit the game scene, do the yells, war hymn and remember the old days. It made me feel old. Of course, the aggies sucked it up but it was still enjoyable! I included some pictures of where we sat, the team while doing the war hymn and the band.

I finished off the weekend with a trip to Canton with my mom and sister. We usually go on Sundays since I work on Saturday. It was raining the whole time but we still shopped like crazy. We had a great time and I was worn out by the end of the day.
Pregnancy update: Everything is going well for the most part. I've been feeling kind of yucky in the afternoons - before dinner but then I'm ok after I eat. I really have to stay on top of eating something every few hours. I'm still tired in the afternoons but I think its also because I've been so busy at work - which is a blessing! I go to the doctor next Monday for an update so I'll keep you posted. Until then....

Pumpkins Pumpkins

Last week, I decided to get festive. Jax and I went to Michaels and bought a bunch of fall decor. We came home and decorated the front door step. He especially loved the scarecrow. He kept saying "whoa" That's his new thing right now.
Jax had more fun opening and closing the front door and running around than helping me decorate but we still had fun. We got all done and I asked him to go stand by the pumpkins and he did. I was shocked. What a great pic!

Blackberry Pictures

I have taken many pictures on my blackberry of Jax and have never taken the time to figure out how to download them onto my computer. Well, I finally did it and thought I'd post a few pictures with there stories...so here we go.

This picture was taken a couple of months ago - Jax had skipped his morning nap for whatever reason and so we went about our day. I made him lunch and he ate. I turned away from him for just a second and when I turned back, he was asleep. I had to get a pic. so funny. I wish I could sleep that easily.

This picture is from Jax's first experience on the Mcdonalds playground in Midlothian. We were there with Jax's cousins. Jax just wanted to stay in this one area that we could not get to so we sent Connor back there to get him out and to protect him from this crazy little boy that kept trying to attack Jax.

Wanissa and I took Jax and Cooper to Willowbend mall to play one day. This is a great play area for the kids! Once again, Jax had never experienced this but Cooper had. Cooper is the one crawling off. You could tell he was a pro! Jax on the other hand kind of played by himself and just took it all in. It was cute to watch them.

We just had Jax's pictures made with Ami Trull Photography of Waxahachie. She rocks by the way! She took us to this creek in waxahachie and took some great pics of Jax. This one was taken by me though - we were done with pics and he was hungry and hot...and mad in this picture. I still thought it was cute - he looks just like Jeremy when he was little.

Jeremy took this pic. They usually go out to Mt Lebanon on Saturdays while I'm working. Jeremy always texts me with cute pictures. This one was titled "ready to mow" He looks so big here. This one was just last week.

This last one is a little blurry but the story behind it is what is funny. I had been on the phone with 2 clients in a row and my son had disappeared into his room. A few minutes later, he came out with his hat on going about his business. I just thought it was funny that he went and found that hat in his dresser and put it on his head like he did and kept playing. What a ham!

Well, that's it for the blackberry pictures. I'll try to keep them updated now I know how to use it. Everything is going well with me. I am 12 weeks along now in my pregnancy and feeling great! We had a doctor appointment on the 12th so I'll update ya'll from there. Until then, we'll keep you posted!
