Happy 35th to me!

I turned 35 years this October.  I wanted to do something fun and different for this milestone.  I've always wanted a tattoo but not sure if I could go through with it and many other fears and questions.  After I had Lola and knew I was done, I really wanted one.  Sunflowers have always been my thing and I wanted my kids names tattooed as well so I combined the two on my foot....the most painful place for a tattoo!  Jeremy and I went for a fun dinner and then stopped at a bar and had a few drinks to loosen me up.  We got to the tattoo place in deep ellum and had it all set up.  The guy did a good job and I love my tattoo.  It hurt really bad at the beginning but I got use to the pain.  It fellt like a lot of bee stings all at once.  Its something I'll never forget and I'm glad I did it.

Homecoming Parade 2013

Another homecoming parade has come and gone with the Jackson's and Black's.  Its always fun to see the school floats, band and drill team and get a little candy.  The kids love it.  Every year I wish they would drop all the little league stuff but then we wouldn't have much of a parade....small town living at its finest! We always get great pictures of the cousins.

Jax and Jake's first and only soccer season

Well our short lived soccer season for the boys came to an end all too soon.  Jax tried a few practices and one game and absolutely hated it.  It was torture for all involved!  Then we started Jake in little tots soccer for his age group.  This was a parent involved saturday program that frankly stunk. It was mostly drills with a few scrimmages.  He did score a goal but we soon gave up on it after a few saturdays....what a waste!  I got a couple of pictures and wanted to blog about it so we could get a good laugh one day. We can definitely check soccer off of our sports tried....never again!

Halloween 2013

Halloween this year was great. We just moved into our new house and things have been a little chaotic to say the least.  It was good to do something normal for one night and have some fun.  Jax and Jake were teenage mutant ninja turtles and Lola was minnie mouse.  They all had so much fun dressing up and getting candy.  We went over to Jeremy's mom's house this year and trick or treated in her neighborhood with Aunt Amy and Brian.  Aunt Amy always brings the kids great treats for halloween! After trick or treating, we went back to Gigi's house and looked at all the candy, watched ghostbusters and ate a few pieces.  We had a great night.  I also included the one picture I took at Jax's kindergarten party in his class.  They played some games and ate some yummy treats.  It was a fun time as well.  Enjoy the pics
