Jax at 5 and Jake at 3....then there's Lola

I took the kids to Waxahachie tonight for some updated pictures.  Got some great ones of the boys but I'm still working on Lola.  Now that she's walking, its making things a bit more difficult.  Enjoy the pictures!

Fourth of July 2013

We had another great fourth of July this year.  We decided to take the kids to the midlothian parade during the day.  The boys got some candy and flags and enjoyed the silly little floats.  After it got dark, we headed over to Duke's house in Lakegrove.  We went to this show last year when Lola was just a month old.  I remember Jeremy covering her ears because it was so loud and right over our heads.  It is a much better show than the sad little one that Midlothian puts on.  DeAnn and the boys showed up to Duke's this year so the kids got to play.  It doesn't happen much anymore so the boys were so excited!  I got some great pictures from the day!

Mt Lebanon Swimming

Jake - no fear.  Jumping for the first time

Daddy and Lola enjoying the water.  She loves to swim!

We took the boys to Mt Lebanon finally to swim one Friday afternoon.  They had swim lessons this summer and it definitely paid off.  They aren't scared of the water anymore.  They put their face in the water, jump in and want to go all the time.  I've always loved to swim but they are wearing me out this summer!  We had a great time playing at Mt Lebanon.  This pool is shallow enough for them to stand in the shallow end so they love that.  Enjoy our pics!

Galveston Trip 2013

It has become a bit of a family thing for us to go to Galveston during the summer lately.  Having little ones, I don't want to get on a plane with them quite yet and this is easy and fun for us.  The kids love it and we love just having the 5 of us on this trip.  A lot of people don't like Galveston but we don't care.  We are together and we have fun....that's all that matters to us!

We rented a newer beach house this year in Crystal Beach - Casa Del Sol.  Perfect size for our family.  Lola discovered a lot this trip.  She got into everything....pots, seashells, magazines.  The boys loved it too.  It had a big firplace area they loved jumping off of.  We went to the beach almost every day until Lola got a bad diaper rash and we took a break 1 day.  We ate at Bubba Gumps, Rainforest Cafe, Fudruckers and Stingarays.  We ate breakfast and lunch at the house, took great naps and did lots on the beach.  We flew kites, built sandcastles, played in the water plenty and took it easy.  I even got a few morning runs in...loved it!

We loved the Pleasure Pier this year.  We enjoyed it so much, we went twice.  The boys rode bumper cars, trucks, tea cups and got dad on the log ride.  I couldn't believe they did that.  They had a blast.  I loved watching it all with my Lola Bug.  We also got to ride a little ride at Rainforest Cafe.  That was a great place.  The big gorillas scared Jake into eating his whole meal.  We told him they were going to get him if he didn't.  Thank goodness I took some pictures on my phone because my camera deleted all my good pics.  I got some great pics anyways.  Enjoy
