Oranges

This is a totally random post but funny. When I was pregnant with Jax, I craved orange juice and oranges the whole time. I loved them! Now, Jax loves them too. When I pull one out, he has a meltdown because he wants to eat it sooo bad. I don't think he even breathes when he eats it. Anyways, we were having fun one day and I put the peel in my mouth. He laughed so hard so I pulled out the camera and took some pictures.

This first picture - don't know if you can tell but he's got orange juice coming off his chin.

We had a great time with our oranges. Until next time, we'll keep you posted!

Jake David Jackson

Last week, Jeremy, Jax and I went to Dr Monti's office for my 18 week visit. After a quick check-up, Dr Monti brought Jeremy and Jax in to quickly discover we are adding another boy to our family.

Jax's little brother will be named Jake David Jackson. We are looking forward to this new addition around the beginning of April 2010. I am very thankful to be having a second child and can't wait to see what this little guy has in store for us.
Everything looks good - he's big, that's what I keep noticing in these sonograms. I thought Jax was huge but this one might take the cake. Prayers for me through the rest of this pregnancy - I"m fighting a cold right now and its making things a lot harder around the house. I forget how being pregnant slows you down so much. For the most part, I'm feeling pretty good and everything looks great with Jake. Until next time, we'll keep you posted!

Jax Helping Others

I got some great pictures of Jax in the last couple of weeks doing some funny things. I guess he watches us more than I think. This first pictures was taken last week. Jeremy, his dad and my dad over a period of a few days, expanded our fence in the backyard and much needed dog run. Jeremy was finishing up the cleaning and decided to do a little mowing. Jax was having fun in the backyard and decided to join in. It was like he new exactly what to do.....so cute

The second picture I have is from this past week as well. One day Jax went into our pantry and pulled out the mop. He's been doing this almost every day now. He takes it all over the living room and kitchen and acts like he's mopping. Sometimes he pulls out the broom and my hardwood floor cleaning mop as well. He thinks its so much fun. If only he could do it for real.....I look forward to the day!

These last two pictures are in a class of there own. Let me tell you the story...

We had a doctor's appointment last week and ran by Mt. Lebanon for lunch following the appointment. There was a senior citizen chicken fried steak lunch and program going on that happens every year at the camp. My father-in-law (Roger) also known as Grumpa is the Camp Administrator of Mt Lebanon. Each year he introduces all the churches that are in attendance and this year was the same....except that he decided to take Jax up on stage with him..hehe. My son began by taking the microphone and saying hello hello very loudly. Roger introduced himself, Jax and the rest of the family and began the church introductions. Each church was to clap for themselves when introduced and Jax joined in with claps and yeas for everyone. It was pretty darn cute......definitely acting like his mother. I was so proud :)

What a helper he has become. Jax turns 18 months next week. The time has truly flown by. He is so precious and very well behaved for the most part. I love him dearly and look forward to giving him a sibling to play with and grow with. What a joy he is to Jeremy and I. We are truly blessed. Until next time, we'll keep you posted!

Trick or Treat...Halloween 09

Halloween has come and gone and Jax for one is very happy about it! My little devil did not enjoy the trick or treating part of Halloween :( and today, I found out why???

He hasn't been sleeping well and then Jax wouldn't eat dinner on the night of Halloween, which is sooo not like him. He screamed and cried while we attempted to trick or treat and fell asleep on Jeremy before we even got back to my sister's house......Jax got a new tooth yesterday. Gotta love teething.
This is Jax with his cousins......screaming while my dad holds him

We went to a total of 5 houses before giving up and at the last house, he finally told the lady thank you for the candy....so cute!

As we walked home, Jeremy's mom and Michael caught up to us so we stopped and Jax got a book and toy from Gigi. Jeremy's mom told me that Jeremy was the same way when he first started trick or treating.....not a surprise.....they are exactly alike in many ways! When we got back to the house, Jax finally decided he was hungry so he ate a snack while his daddy read him his new book. All was better!

From that point on, he was a happy camper. He enjoyed going to the door with Honey when the doorbell rang and had a good evening with his cousins.
It was an evening to remember. Hopefully it gets better every year. We'll keep you posted!
