Katy, Nathan, Roman and the Arboretum

Last week, Katy, Nathan and Roman came in town to see the family before the holidays hit.  We had a great time with them.  Got a picture of all the kids in the tub together.  The boys loved playing with Roman and Lola did too most of the time.  She didn't like sharing many of her toys but we managed.  We took them to the arboretum and aunt amy came too.  The kids had a blast - face painting, farm animals, hay maze and plenty of running around.  Jake even took on the true meaning of a tiger and tried to scare us all in the bushes.  We had a great time.

Halloween 2014

What a busy day!!! I started off the morning with Jax's fall party in his first grade class.  He has a great room mom this year that is on top of things.  Great party.  We then picked up Lola and Jake from Grandma's house and they all fell asleep in the car.  We got home and got costumes on and went up in town to trick or treat around the businesses and fire station...kind of cool and they got lots of candy.  Home quickly for a mcdonalds dinner then over to Aunt D's house for round 2 of trick or treating with the cousins.  More candy and lots of fun.  At 8pm, Jake told me that his toes didn't work anymore and Jax told me that his eyeballs were frozen so we called it quits and went home.  I think we were all asleep by 9pm.....we were beat! Great day!!

 

Miss Lola

I remember when Jax was around a year old....I would post everything that child did on this blog.  Then Jake came and I did pretty good with his little stories and then Lola....not doing so hot! So I decided to add a few pictures of her in this blog post just because she's so darn cute.

the first one is just of her with her glasses on she got in  a happy meal.  funny thing!
The second pictures is of her beautiful black eye she got from jumping off a bean bag and hitting the corner of the tv table in the game room.  she was on daddy duty and I was at the hospital with my dad the day he fell out of the tree.  Lola and papa looked like they had both fallen out of a tree that day!  The third one is of her and me at my cousins wedding - Issac.  Lola had a fun day with Connor that day.  Love the leopard print! The fourth is just a fun day at the park with me and Jake.  She loves to swing!

I also posted a seperate picture of my mom, grandmother and I at church one sunday morning.  We all wore black and white that day.  Can't wait to have Lola in some of those pictures!

 

My sweet Jake

Jake is having a great year this year.  He's started Pre K at mothers day out and is doing great.  He's very social and does well in a structured environment.  He's smart and loves to succeed.  He listens well and remembers lessons in church and school really well.  He can be very sweet to his sister when he wants to be but has a bit of a temper as well.  He's so stinkin cute with his one dimple and he wants to do everything just like his daddy.  I have really enjoyed this last year we are having together before school starts.  He's so much like me and its fun to watch! Hair Show in New Orleans

I got to go to a hair show in New Orleans this year with a bunch of girls from the salon.  We had a a great time and learned some new stuff to take back with us.  We also ate a lot of good food and had some fun on Bourbon Street.  It was cool to see all the short haircuts and crazy color thats in.  Watching Kristen ride the bull and all of us act like young girls again.  Fun times and lots of laughs
